Stacey
Stacey
came to us with 10 years of previous management experience. She now helps keep us running smoothly by creating systems and procedures that enhance our patient’s experiences and simplify our lives. These systems and procedures provide you, the patient, with streamlined, efficient, up to date, and superior services. Please find her in the office or call her anytime with any questions or suggestions that you may have. She’s on board to make sure that we are always exceeding your expectations!
Jean
Jean is a Certified Orthopedic Technician and a Certified Back Office Assistant. She is the morning shift that assists with patient care - asks you medical questions before you see Dr. Cohen, puts on your casts, braces, and splints, takes them off, helps with injections, removes stitches, etc. Jean is an all around great help and resource and she remains our voice of reason when things get crazy around the office. Since February 2008, she has been working with Dr. Cohen; but, Jean has been working in the orthopedic field since 1979 in both an office as well as a surgical setting. Jean loves her job and it shows in all that she does. If you ask Jean, she’ll tell you that building a rapport with the patients and assisting with their care is the most important part of her job.
Marichu
Our medical assistant who’s with us all day, everyday is Marichu. She has a Biology degree from Cal-State University Northridge, majoring in Pre-Med, with hopes and dreams of becoming a dedicated and well respected Physician someday. She has worked in and been exposed to the Medical Field for a little over ten years, including the fields of Optometry, Dental, and Urgent Care. She also interned at the Santa Monica UCLA Orthopedic Hospital for two years where she rotated in several departments such as ER, NICU, L & D, and ICU. She assists Dr. Cohen with his patients from Casting, Surgery Scheduling, Patient Evaluations, and so much more. Marichu loves the field of Medicine and is a very dedicated individual who works hard to get to where she wants to be in life. When you meet Marichu you will see that it is obvious that she takes a lot of pride in what she does!
Norma
Norma is the friendly voice you hear on the other end of the line when you have appointment or surgical billing questions. She has worked closely with Dr. Cohen since 2001 and entered her career in medicine as an occupational therapy aide. Norma understands the intricacies of the practice and insurance billing. She is always in the office or just a phone call away to gladly answer any billing questions that you may have. Our goal is to give you the best care possible in every way.
Alona
As the newest addition to our family, Alona brings with her over 20 years of experience in Office Management and Customer Relations. Before joining our team, in the role of the middle desk support, she worked with a computer servicing company for over 16 years, responsible for the overall office management, purchasing, interacting with various manufacturers, and most importantly Customer Relations and Satisfaction. Her efficiency and precision helps to make your experience at our office a better one from less waiting time on phone calls to a quicker check out. Alona’s main goal is to always be productive while providing the utmost degree of satisfaction to our patients.
Schinal
Schinal is the first smiling face you see as you enter the doctor’s office. She believes that good customer service is the lifeblood of any business and it certainly shows in everything that she does. For years, Schinal has worked as an Executive Office Administrator, as well as an Office Manager, and various other Executive Level office positions. During the years she has developed numerous skills in Customer Relations. There is nothing more important to her than offering the best service there is. At our office, she interacts with patients on a regular basis, always able and ready to help as she has excellent abilities in Problem Solving, Task Management, and Multi-Tasking. The essence of good customer service is forming a relationship with the patient. As an expert in customer service, it is her ambition to take the extra step and walk the extra mile with and for our patients.
Rochelle
Attended Defense Language Institute and served as a Korean linguist for 4 years in the U.S. Army. She has 15 years of experience in the medical transcription field. Rochelle has worked in conjunction with Dr. Cohen since 2003. Rochelle wears many hats and recently served as office manager for one year. Rochelle is extremely loyal to the practice and will assist in any capacity necessary. Rochelle enjoys working with Dr. Cohen because of the genuine care and concern he has for his patients. She shares his thirst for any technology that allows him to continue to provide quality care to his patients and to maintain a comfortable work environment.
