After working for 13 years in Financial Services, Dee took time off to raise two children. Her experience in management, training, compliance and customer service provides an excellent foundation for performing her responsibilities in our office. Dee assists patients with scheduling, payment processing and insurance verification. She also helps our patients in explaining the benefits of MD Apothecary, the highly regarded supplements that we offer. Dee is happy to help you with any general questions or concerns.
Gabby has been in the medical field for 9 years. She is a floater in the office; helping wherever she is needed. Her background is in Urgent Care and Family Practice and she is excited to break ground in orthopedics. She enjoys the fast paced office environment while engaging in one on one patient care. She also assists Dr. Cohen with applying casts and splints and helps with the phones, scheduling appointments and filling out any necessary forms you will need for work, school or disability.
Jo has been in the orthopedic world for over 15 years, 14 of those years as an orthopedic technician. She is experienced in all forms of orthopedics, but has specialized with hands, feet and spine exclusively. The creator of the designer/glitter cast, she enjoys making the best out of everything. "Casts are temporary, but the memory of a fun cast can last forever." She also assists Dr. Cohen in the back office, making sure the office flow runs smoothly and that our patients are taken care of in a timely manner.
Liz is the friendly face you see when you enter our office. Her previous experience in the mortgage industry has helped her hone in on her exceptional attention to detail. Liz has been a great addition to our staff, bringing excellent customer service skills and a great attitude to our team. Her responsibilities in our office also include coordinating work comp patients, answering phones and scheduling patients. However, she is always happy to help in any capacity.
At the end of your appointment with us you will meet Mo. Mo has a diverse background working many years as a director, in retail and management, customer service, and in health and wellness. Equally as diverse as her background are her roles in the office. From scheduling patients to checking out patients, Mo brings a smile to the job. She is enthusiastic about our patients and goes beyond to ensure you have a good experience through the final moments of your time with us.
With an extensive background in project management, planning, and proofreading, since 2009, Nancy has been our Medical Reporting and Transcription Supervisor and Med-Legal Coordinator. In addition to preparing and overseeing our daily reporting, she is the liaison between the doctor and the Plaintiff and Defense attorneys who retain Dr. Cohen or Dr. Rudin as an Expert Witness and handles all of the doctors’ Expert Witness med-legal work. Her attention to detail, compassion, and meticulous work ethic help to ensure that we deliver the highest degree of care and service.
Norma is the friendly voice you hear on the other end of the line when you have appointment or surgical billing questions. She has worked closely with Dr. Cohen since 2001 and entered her career in medicine as an occupational therapy aide. Norma understands the intricacies of the practice and insurance billing. When you are in need of surgery she will walk you through the steps and make every aspect of your surgical experience as easy as possible. She is always in the office or just a phone call away to gladly answer any billing questions that you may have.
Pete came to our office with previous management experience and a keen eye for finance. You can find Pete in the billing department. He processes all insurance bills and handles all insurance appeals. If you have ever gotten frustrated calling your health insurance company, you would understand what Pete goes through every day! He continues to handle all patient and insurance calls with a smile on his face as his goal is to help our patients understand their bills and the insurance company understand our claims.
